Furendei Garifuna = Learn Garifuna
To learn Garifuna with this course, you will first have to release all self-consciousness as you go along. Your accent will develop over time as you focus on the feeling and intent behind the words in each lesson. Language acquisition research shows that one necessary aspect of learning a new language includes having a "parent" who can listen and speak with you in a nonjudgmental way. This element is built into the course via a fluent Garifuna speaker who will be matched with each student to increase the likelihood of long term retention.
This audio program is to help my sons and me prepare for our trip to multiple Garifuna villages in Honduras.
Using a language is the best way to learn a language! Come join us so together we can retain practical Garifuna for our trip, one lesson at a time.
Lessons cover basic grammar, family structure, simple sentences and common verbs or terms needed to converse with family, friends or newcomers to your life.
